Royal Dukkah

Even though the exotic Dukkah has a flavour profile of Middle Eastern cuisine, the blend of spices, seeds and nuts is an extremely adaptable condiment with a universal appeal. Although the mix originates from Egypt, every combination of Dukkah is a little different. Our blend is made up of fresh sesame seeds, coriander, cumin, hazelnuts, black pepper, red bell pepper, parsley salt, seedless hot chilli, sumac and cashews. Once you allocate a pantry space for the condiment, you’ll find Dukkah can be used as an ingredient in many culinary favourites. Dukkah is often served as an appetiser accompanied with bread and olive oil. The crunchy mix can also be enjoyed by itself as a snack. The flavourful, nutty mixture adds texture and smokiness to dukkah crusted duck or beef dishes, and a surprise touch to your baba ganoush, yoghurt or hummus. A little dukkah sprinkled on creamed pumpkin puree with polenta, mashed chickpeas and butter beans, provides a nice crunchy contrast. Our blend adds warm spicy notes to thick lamb stews, soups and a fennel and orange salad. Rich in protein and good fats, the blend supports cardiovascular health, as it contains vitamin E, antioxidants, folate and arginine. Carotenoid lycopene in red bell pepper provides protection against cancers. A good source of magnesium and vitamin B6, the mighty Dukkah blend can alleviate hypertension and bloating. Drifting through the kitchen on a cosy Sunday afternoon, Dukkah’s deep warm fragrance will tease your guests’ senses and warm every heart.
